Sarcoma is a slightly prevalent type of cancer, so public funding is limited. There are private institutions, like ours, which bridge the gap to fund and create lines for research to learn more about sarcoma.

Currently, the Foundation aims to open its fifth line of research called “Study of PARP inhibitors as a treatment for Ewing sarcoma: preclinical study” which is scheduled to commence January 2012 and whose total budget amounts to € 104,400, for a estimated duration of 3 years. This is the continuation of the fourth line that the Foundation has funded at the Center for Cancer Research in Salamanca, both by Dr. Enrique de Álava.

We remind you that donations made to foundations produce tax rebates to donors. Taxpayers of Income Tax of Individuals have the right to deduct from the tax a 25% of the donation made. Also, legal persons are entitled to deduct from their tax liability on corporation tax a 35% of the amount of the donation.
