Celebramos la XIª edición del Memorial María García-Estrada. Será el 10 de octubre en el Real Club de Golf de Tenerife.
Sumamos ya once ediciones del Memorial María García-Estrada. Un clásico entre los actos solidarios deportivos que se celebran en Canarias y considerado por los participantes como un evento muy especial. En él se unen deporte, encuentro social, y solidaridad. Es un día en el que amigos de la Fundación se reúnen para rendir homenaje a María, y recaudar fondos para financiar líneas de investigación del cáncer en general, y el sarcoma en particular.
El XI Memorial MGE tendrá lugar el próximo sábado 10 de octubre con la celebración de un torneo de golf y cena benéficos en el Real Club de Golf de Tenerife, club al que perteneció María.
Diez años de duro trabajo, pero el apoyo recibido ha dado sus frutos con cinco líneas de investigación entre Estados Unidos y España. En enero de 2014 se puso en marcha la sexta línea, poniendo en manos de la investigación 390.658,40€ siguiendo el objetivo con el que se creara en 2006 la Fundación: investigar el sarcoma y hallar su cura. En diciembre sumará a esta cantidad 50,000 euros correspondientes a la segunda anualidad del proyecto en marcha. La recaudación de este Memorial irá destinada a financiar la segunda anualidad de este sexto estudio con el título: ‘Validación prospectiva de alteraciones en cr 1q y cr 16q como biomarcadores en Sarcoma de Ewing (SE)’. Este está dirigido por el investigador el Dr. Enrique de Alava, y se está llevando a cabo en el Laboratorio de Patología Molecular de Sarcomas en el Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío-Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla.

TORNEO XI MEMORIAL MGE
El Torneo se celebrará por modalidad parejas, mejor bola y Stableford. El límite de inscritos se establecerá en 120 participantes (60 parejas), según orden de inscripción.Se le entregará trofeos a las tres primeras parejas clasificadas, acompañados de regalos de cortesía de nuestros colaboradores. Las parejas clasificadas en el cuarto y quinto puesto también recibirán regalos cortesía de los colaboradores. Habrá premios especiales a la bola mas cerca y drive más largo señora y caballero.
Como cada año, para la entrega de premios el torneo será precedido de una cena benéfica en el salón principal del RCGT a la que podrán asistir jugadores y acompañantes, así como todas aquellas personas que lo deseen. Durante la misma se sortearán entre todos los asistentes regalos cedidos por los colaboradores. El precio por persona es de 40€, y por jugador, 70€ por inscripción más cena.
Destacar la Fila Cero, donación voluntaria que se puede realizar durante todo el torneo, para la recaudación de fondos.
